Musandam Peninsula
The rugged 'fjord-like' coastline knows as the eastern Musandam Peninsula has of the widest biodiversities of marine species can be found anywhere in the world. The deep drop offs and cool and cool water upwelling, provide an abundance of plankton, making this a rich feeding ground for a huge variety of marine life and coral gardens. Dolphins, Turtles, Reef sharks, Hammerheads, Whale sharks, Minke whales & Sunfish plus all the usual reef fish and corals of the Indian Ocean have been seen. The visibility does not extend as much as in the Red Sea, but the abundance of sea life and the numerous species to be seen will amaze you.
